A General Timeline for Kuroko no Basket

back on my ballshit. i've wanted a concise timeline for knb for years, but it's hard to do. even this probably isn't super accurate, but I did my best to check every reference I could. I decided that being broader here by not including specific dates/years and simply breaking events down by months was the best way to go.

I didn't have the age graphics for the months of February and March because they'll remain the same as January's (until Momoi's 17th bday in May). The official calendar I'm referring to here by the way is this one from KuroFes. I hope you find this useful!

one of the wild interactions on twitter was giving miyaji and takao. this had to be done.

was rewatching some of the shutoku vs rakuzan match last night and i was really so endeared by the fact that before the match kimura asked midorima about his lucky item (the shogi piece) and commented pretty fondly that its small this time around

and then miyaji immediately asking about his rank !! like i just love how close the team grew in the year... how how close they've become... especially when you compare their confusion and for midorima's interest in fortune earlier in the beginning of the series

then of course takao laughing at the exchange between midorima and miyaji after miyaji was telling midorima that he should have been first in the fortune and midorima saying "thats my fortune"

just really love seeing them here :]

KnB General Hcs - Part 2

I love them so much the entire knb cast so skrunkly...

Kasamatsu is famously (canonically) TERRIBLE at talking to women, so I think that one time at a job interview, he was composing himself in the lobby, prepared to make the best impression of allt ime, but when he was called over by an attractive lady around the same age as him, he disintegrated.

(While we're talking about him, I think he'd be super SUPER respectful to the elderly, just because he feels a sense of responsibility for his elders)

Akashi, personally, I think wouldn't photograph well. (I know he was one or two pictures of him in the show and looks normal but HEAR ME OUT) I just think he gets in his head about how he should appear, and he ends up looking a little too stern, like his eyebrows are just always furrowed.

Kobori, Reo, Kiyoshi, and Kimura probably all take the big sibling/brother roles in their respective teams. (i don't imagine tōō or yōsen having anybody like that) Like, they'd go out of their way to buy everybody drinks after practice or a match, no matter their mood.

Miyaji, our resident Miyu-Miyu stan, once attended a concert, ran into his female classmates, and while i don't think he's the kind of guy to be incredibly 'i wanna die' embarrassed type, he definitely didn't want to admit that he was there for his own enjoyment. So when the girls eventually notice their literal 6'3 (anybody else surprised by his height btw?? he gives short energy LMAO) giant of a classmate, he psh'ed and just said "I'm waiting for somebody." No, he has not been able to avoid the girlfriend allegations since.

Kagami sleeps with so many pillows, and it's because of his muscle pains, but holy shit his bed is just a clump of fluff.

Izuki, for whatever reason, always has crap falling about of his locker. Whether it's his piles of joke books, the rare sheet of schoolwork, or an old coffee can, you can never EVER trust him to keep his locker clean for more than 4 days.

Miyaji The older, as the team calls him, is extremely protective of Takao. He gives Midorima a long, aggressive talk about how he’ll beat his ass if he hurts his friend. Miyaji The Younger gives the same talk to Takao because “The weirdo is very sensitive”

At exactly 10.30 on Friday nights, Miyaji will arrive in exactly the same jacket and ripped jeans, and order exactly the same thing – an apple and cranberry float – and sit in exactly the same booth with an open laptop and scattered textbooks. At exactly 10.30 p.m. on Friday nights, Hayama will abandon any remaining grief the week has given him and convince himself that he doesn’t spend the shift waiting for exactly this moment. He never really succeeds, but that doesn’t stop him from trying.

Hayama is oblivious and Miyaji is clumsy, which makes for very awkward confessions.

notes: i did a lot of snooping around on your account to find out how you might want them written since they're characters i'm unfamiliar with. sorry if it's ooc in some places, i just wanted to gift you something hayama-centred since he's your favourite. i really liked the café prompt and also college AUs are my faves so i blended the two and got kind of creative with it. thank you so much for the prompts - i had a lot of fun with this one, i especially enjoyed being able to take some liberties with your ideas. i hope you enjoy this as much as i enjoyed creating it!

im so obsessed how this new merch line is going with miyaji like i love the guy but id love to know what the discussions are like when they're choosing to make knb merch like i know back in the day he, midorima, and takao were marketed together a few times but this time theyre like... yeah.. put miyaji in buying his idol merch... and u know what i support that

Shuutoku video game genres you'd think they'll enjoy and why? Maybe playing by themselves vs playing with others

This was an interesting one to think about! I'm not as big on gaming as some of my friends/my s/o, so I hope these all fit the bill! Admin Neon

Midorima — strategy/puzzle games

he doesn't dedicate a lot of time to gaming, so when he does carve out an hour for it, he likes to play games that exercise his brain

he prefers strategy games that he can download on his phone because they're easy to pick up and put down, but he does have one or two on his home computer

Takao — anything and everything

as hinted at in a previous scenario, Takao is a streamer in his free time, so he plays a lot of different genres, though some of his favorites are of the horror genre

not only do they do amazingly when it comes to views on his channel, but he loves the jumpscares and the thrill it gives him

Kimura — platformers/side-scrollers

a lot of his games are older ones from his family members, because none of them really had the time or will to get any of the newer systems

he finds them very easy, but this isn't an issue; it gives him that instant sense of gratification that he searches for sometimes

Ootsubo — action/adventure

it takes Ootsubo a really long time to finish games; despite that, he often finds himself gravitating toward story rich games because completing them make him feel good

he finds games that don't have a story to follow a little on the boring side, because he feels like there are no goals to accomplish

Miyaji K. — racing/fighting/FPS

he's got a competitive nature, so he plays a lot of games where there are competitions for him to get on top of

absolutely would not let Yuuya win when they were kids

always jokes that, because he can win a race in a game, he can win in real life too

Miyaji Y. — MMORPGs

growing up with his older brother and having the same competitive nature, they grew to play and like a lot of the same games

he eventually discovers his love for MMOs when he gets fed up with losing to Kiyoshi

he has spent way too much money on customizing his character

Hey! Not sure if you’re doing this character, if no just ignore this. KnB, Miyaji Kiyoshi - how would a meeting with his idol, Miyu-Miyu, go? A scenario or headcanon - up to you. Thank you!

Miyaji would hear about an event that they were at and even cut school to stand in line all day to meet them.

This is one of the few public appearances that they do a year, and they’ve never been this close before, so he has to go.

He would try to be cool.

He doesn’t want to look like one of those gross, stalkery superfans. It doesn’t fit into his fantasy of him impressing Miyu-Miyu so much with his coolness that they fall in love and get married.

It literally takes almost the entire day of the signing event to get to the front, and by the time he gets there….he can’t move.

Being in Miyu-Miyu’s presences, her actual presence, stuns him to the point that he can’t speak.

Being the angel that he knew she would be, Miyu-Miyu smiles, thanks him for his support, and signs the poster he brought before he’s sent on his way.

It’s the most life changing experience of his life.
